Camisa (t-shirt), shorts (bermuda), sandals (sandálias/havaianas)

This is one of my favorites shirts to work in from home. I like the color, feel comfortable in it and I also like the fabric. I’m wearing it with my shorts and sandals because I will be home for the next few days, so you will probably find me wearing something like this.

Even working from home I want to feel good in the clothes I am in. The color combination pleases me and I think it is not “offensive” if I need to do an urgent video call.

The city I live in is in the rainy season. Although, it is still warm, but not as the rest of the year. So, these clothes feel suitable for the weather, since it is not hot and not entirely “summer style”.

When I’m working from home, I dress mostly the same as when working from the office, except for special events. I usually wear jeans, a t-shirt (not visible here) and a pullover on top, with shoes or boots. At home I often do not wear shoes (rather socks or slippers), but now I just came from the supermarket over lunch, and didn’t take the time to take off my shoes. The jeans and pullover are some of my favorites that I regularly wear, and I picked them without thinking too much about it. The jeans has some holes in it though, so I will probably not wear it that long anymore.

The pullover I was wearing because it’s still chilly outside, and the temperature in the room wasn’t too warm (yet). When it’s warmer (inside or outside) I take it off so I sit in a t-shirt. The boots I also mainly wear in autumn / winter / early spring, when it gets warmer I usually wear low-top shoes. Jeans I wear pretty much all year round.

I want my clothes to look good, but also don’t spend too much time thinking about it when I choose what to wear. So I usually stick to my favourite brand, which is Salsa, as I think they look really nice and are easy to combine with other clothes.

To kick off my email hitchhiking project, I’ve submitted my own pictures of the clothes I’m wearing at the moment.

What are you wearing? In the picture above (left), you can see my banana socks! On the right, you can see I’m also wearing a jeans, a simple light-blue T-shirt and a black thermal long-sleeve shirt on top of that.

Why am I wearing these clothes? I picked the socks at random out of my closet, but it’s always fun to wear them as my girlfriend gave them to me as a birthday present. The bananas refer to a running gag in our friend group :). I’m wearing these pants and shirts because they’re comfortable and appropriate for wearing at home.

How did the weather/climate/season impact your clothing choice? It’s the tail end of Winter. Currently, it’s late in the afternoon, sunny, but still a bit chilly at 9°C. In the room I’m sitting in, I’m constantly turning the electrical heater on and off to get the right temperature. As such, I’m also wearing my long sleeved t-shirt which is easy to put on and take off if it get’s too cold/warm.

How did fashion come into play when choosing your clothes? As I’m at home, it didn’t really come into play. The black shirt on top of the blue shirt is a pretty bad fashion choice, to be honest.

Is there anything else that you believe impacted your clothing choice? These clothes weren’t too expensive. Other than that, I can’t think of anything else at the moment.
